The less female predisposition to choose technological studies has been proved systematically in different contexts and with participants with different range of age. Secondary female students are less interested in ICT-related studies and domains than their male counterparts. For this reason, this study was carried out with 900 students enrolled in the last course of the Spanish compulsory secondary system in Catalonia (15 years old). The main aim of this study is to analyze the influence of a group of psychosocial variables in the election of ICT-related studies. It is predicted that perceived math ability and perceived computer ability are the best predictors of the intention to pursue ICT-related studies. In this sense, boys will have a higher self-perception of computer and math abilities than their female counterparts, which will influence in their higher intention to choice of ICT-related studies in the future.
